Now Karachi's Ali.

Updated: May 9, 2021

"Alii!" A shrill voice screamed from afar. And then a very annoyed groan was heard, which obviously came from Ali. Who was busy trying to fight the goons in his world of dreams. He hated waking up. Ali opened his eyes into small slits, looks at his phone which read 6 pm. Scratch that, he hated waking up at 6 in the morning, that too, on a Sunday. "Ali, your uncle needs you! Get up, you useless child!" It was that shrill annoying voice ringing in his eyes again, worse than an alarm.

He tried to ignore it and finish his beautiful dream of getting the love of his life from the goons but he was soon disturbed again as his blanket was yanked off of him. "No wonder your parents abandoned you, you're good for nothing." He heard the lady mumble, which raged him up to no extent. He did have issues dealing with his anger when somebody mentioned his parents, it was a sensitive subject for him. "They did not abandon me, they're dead. For heaven's sake never mention them with your filthy mouth again!" He bolted up and faced his aunt, his eyes red with anger or tears, one could never tell. He was good at hiding his emotions, except anger of course. He stood up, his lean body far taller than his aunt's. He was famous for being tall in his society. As he gave his aunt a glare and walked out of the room to help his so-called, uncle. Who was another nuisance for him. He looked forward to turning 18 next year and leaving both of them. Walking out of the house, the sun shone brightly even this early morning. Summers in Karachi was the worst, he liked his old house in Islamabad more. But he had no other choice except to shift to his only family after his parents died in a car crash last year. His brown hair turned golden under the sun, his hazel eyes and nose scrunched up because of the heat. Girls used to swoon over these eyes, until, he turned into someone else after his parents' death. Never going out, never flirting, never even showing the slightest bit of interest in anyone, staying rude, talking back, smoking, drugs, and whatnot made those who liked him, keep their distance from him. He looked outside, his uncle was fixing their car. "Ali, fix it, I need to leave for office now." His uncle handed him the tools, knowing how good Ali was with fixing things and trusting him with it, he rushed inside the house to get ready.
